Isabel Mena has closed The First International Forum for Social Inclusion of Young People

The Deputy Secretary for Social Politics and Housing of The Canary Government, Isabel Mena, along with the Magistrate of Juvenile Court nº1 of Las Palmas, Reyes Martel have closed this November, 22th the “Alfredo Kraus” auditorium for The First International Forum to Social Inclusion for young people in which, The Children’s Authority Act and the Family of Canary Government and The University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria have taken part.

For two days, The Forum has joined together judges, prosecutors, psychologists and educators that have deeply analyzed the most effective lines of work in the area of child.

The forum has counted with the presence of national and international outstanding figures in the area of child-care, and it joins in an ambitious pilot project that sets in motion in an autonomous and independent way under the motto #UP2Project in Canary. It is led by the Magistrate of Juvenile Court of Las Palmas, Reyes Martel to direct elements of assistance and social support for the young people of the archipelago with behavioral problems or at risk of social exclusion, with the purpose of make them integrate on a productive way in society.

For two days, the forum has joined together judges, prosecutors, psychologists and educators, that have deeply analyzed the most effective lines of work and among them, the available actions that make possible the social reintegration of young people with behavioral problems. Moreover the experts have suggested some mechanisms and plans of prevention for these families and children themselves.
